Hockey Team Reaches State Championship Game

The Varsity Hockey Team made their second straight appearance in the state championship game.

The team traveled to Columbus, reaching the "Frozen Four." After a 6-0 semifinal win against St. Charles of Columbus, the team lost to St. Ignatius 4-1 in the championship game on Sunday, March 10.

Reporter Chris Lillstrung of the The News-Herald shared this about the team's season, "Tough way to go of course, but just wanted to say I've really enjoyed covering this particular US team between the student-athletes, coaches, parents & community.  Twenty-four seasons in, I would put this group among my top 10 favorite News-Herald area hockey teams to cover. It's been a fun ride."
