Andy Gerow '10 was named Varsity Hockey Coach at University School in 2018. He also works as the Assistant Athletic Director, Health Teacher, and Admission Associate at the Upper School.
As a student at US, Mr. Gerow served as team captain during his senior season and was a key contributor on the State Championship team in 2009. Mr. Gerow served as head coach of the JV program at US for two years, prior to moving to Chicago in 2016.
US has a storied tradition in hockey, having advanced to the Frozen Four 16 times (including '15, '16, '17, '18', '19, and '23) and won its first State Championship in 2003, and its second State Championship in 2009. Several US players have continued their hockey careers at the college level after earning All-State recognition.
Mr. Gerow earned his bachelor of science in education from The Ohio State University and his master of arts in sports and recreation management from Kent State University.
