US Cross Country
Maazin Ahmed was named Varsity Cross Country Coach at University School in 2024. Coach Ahmed will serve as an Assistant Coach for Track & Field during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
Coach Ahmed graduated from Georgetown University where he was an All-Big East performer for the Hoyas’ Cross Country and Track & Field Program. Coach Ahmed has taught and coached at Citizens Leadership Academy since 2022 where he serves as the school’s Lead Intervention Specialist.
The 2018 Cross Country Team was the first in school history to qualify for the Division I State Championship. US also sent teams to the Division II State Championship in 2011 and 2014. Countless US runners have gone on to compete at the college level after setting University School records and earning All-Ohio recognition.
