Sean Grosz was named Varsity Wrestling Coach at University School in 2005. He is a member of the Science faculty, junior class dean, and a member of the Admission team.
During his time at US, Mr. Grosz has had teams finish in the top-ten at the State Tournament seven times, including a 3rd Place finish in 2009. Additionally, his teams have won several Sectional and District titles and finished 4th at the State Duals in 2008 and 2009. Mr. Grosz coached the first three-time State Champion in school history, and he has coached numerous athletes who have competed at the college level after earning All-Ohio and All-America recognition.
Prior to US, Mr. Grosz served as an assistant wrestling coach at Miami University (1998) and John Carroll University (1999-2004). While at the college level, he coached multiple NCAA qualifiers and All-Americans as well as a National Champion.
Mr. Grosz earned a bachelor of science in microbiology and a bachelor of science in environmental science/botany from Miami University and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from John Carroll University. He and his wife, Ann, have one son: Doyle ‘27.
